No gain noticed 5/11/2007 I bought the D-Link 7dBi antenna a while back to boost signal to a remote computer that barely had signal and often lost connection. While the antenna looks stylish and impressive, I have not noticed any change in the reception and recently installed a second WiFi access point. That fixed it. That said, I think that if I installed a 7dBi antenna in the PC as well, that might improve things (D-Link should point that out - if signal is crappy, it's usually not enough to fix one side). Right now I am waiting for D-Link's DIR-855 to come out, hoping I can get a serious boost in signal strength, bandwidth and also use their MediaLounge to stream media, which really doesn't work on my 11g-network. Wow. It works and was easy. Go figure. 5/10/2007 Can't go wrong with this sucker. It's rare that I find a product easy to use and install, especially a networking product, but this one worked right out of the box. Just plugged it into my router and 15 seconds later we were done. My signals far away, through walls and on another floor went from 20-30% to 60-70% after installation. Now my whole house is covered. Don't buy an access point or wifi range extender. Once I hooked this thing up it boosted the signal and has given me a reliable connection. Again this is a GREAT product.... Thank You. Was this review helpful?
works great 3/13/2007 i got this antenna to increase the signal in my office its a 3 floor building the size of a small hangar, with these thing i can access the net anywhere in the main floor the other two floors are still somewhat low signal but this is normal. since the angel of teh signal is not too high Thank You.
