The Zune MP3 player is hands down better than the Ipod. My family has 5 ipods (4-30GB) between them, but the Zune is so much more user friendly. We've solved the itune store dilemma by purchasing songs from Amazon.

I am a fan of the science fiction genre but there is no amount of lipstick you could put on this pig to make it palatable. This is a truly terrible movie.

great motherboard
10/24/2008
I got this motherboard after an extensive process of reading the specs from several other brands, and it didn't disappoint. It has all the bells and whistles advertised, and just works. I have not had the need to overclock, but I know that I could if I wanted.

One big plus is the hdmi output. I have a 22" monitor and it is amazing! I imagine that with the new FULL 1080p HDTVs the resolution would be perfect, and it would just be the matter of "plugin-it-in".

The other plus is that it has 4 DIMM sockets. I now have 2 1GB 800MHz modules which provide me with enough RAM for my needs, but it is nice to know that whenever I need to upgrade, it will just be a matter of adding and not replacing the modules.

Great Mobo
8/18/2008
Installation was a little bit tricky. Lost at least 4 hours finding out that the motherboard and/or CPU were not DOA. The trick was trying the system out of the case. Still don't know what was the problem, most likely a ground issue. My fault or not, this took a star off this product. After that everything went smooth. Have not overclocked seriously yet, but the system has got plenty of options and is easy to use. I bought this for a HTPC. Worth every penny.

Multiple monitor support flawed
6/21/2008
Onboard video is disabled if video card is used, video card is disabled if onboard video is used.

Cryptic bios settings and manual give little guidance when setting up video. Is possible to turn off video in bios, so you won't be able to see to turn it back on.

Possibly the best MicroATX board ever made (to date)
1/17/2008
I've just finished a new system build using this board, an Intel e6750, 4GB of DDR2-1000 RAM (**EDIT:** now 8 GB), a RAID array and an ATI HD 3870, and I have to say, this board smokes. The unit I have is rock solid and for the most part boasts a clean, logical layout. To the details.

1) The best - THE BEST - microATX overclocking board in existence. Most uATX boards are not built with this in mind. This one is different. If you play with Asus Striker extreme or similar boards, this little beast does a credible job of delivering similar tweaking features in that department. Also, all the ports you need and nothing you don't, like the stupid DB-25 parallel port and DB-9 serial ports that almost no one uses anymore. There is a bit of an FSB wall, particularly with 8 GB of RAM.

2) G35 express. It's Intel's latest integrated graphics chipset, offering all the features of the popular P35 chipset along with a credible IGP and, best of all, an HDMI port - a long overdue first for any motherboard in existence that I'm aware of. By the way, this board also gives you the latest ICH9R chip, which means - tada - an Intel SATA RAID controller. This is a thoughtful addition by Asus, as ICH9R is not standard in G35. Given that the G35 is widely considered another Intel graphics snoozer, this is very helpful.

3) More amenities, such as six SATA ports, a crapload of USB headers, a full PCI slot and a PCI-E slot that remain available even if you install a double-wide video card. That's enough for my purposes. The PCI-E video slot is 16-lane.

4) OCing tip: if you plan to experiment with overclocking a CPU on this board, and plan to use the IGP instead of a video card, you will also need to increase the voltage to the integrated graphics chip, particularly if you're running Vista. Great for 2D work, OK for running Vista Aero. Gaming? Forget it. Note: since I have a very solid graphics card, I haven't tested the hi-def performance of the G35 chip.

I've been able to OC my G0 stepping e6750 to 3.6 GHz rock stable (8x450, 1.4V). This board can be the centerpiece for anyone who wants a small but well-balanced high-speed Intel system. Asus also has a well-organized support site where the latest drivers for all parts of the motherboard can be downloaded.

***EDIT***I ultimately had this board running a full 1.06 GHz overclock, stable in dual Prime, at 3.71 GHz (8x463), which I'm pretty sure exhausts the abilities of the e6750. It's a bit hot at 60C under load and 1.4875 V but since nothing I do comes close to dual Prime load levels this is an unbelievable result for a MicroATX board. After the 8 GB upgrade the FSB wall dropped to 435 MHz. Still, for my needs this is as much as I could ask for.

Just note: this board won't match an Asus Striker Extreme II or the DFI boards for OCing in most cases. But for what it is, it's a nice versatile little mobo.

Considering how new this board is, I'm amazed at how clean it runs and how well it is supported by Vista 64-bit. All the bundled drivers work, though you need to do some disk swapping to install them.

This board is MADE for the new 45 nm Penryns. It supports the 1333 MHz standard. I am frankly thrilled with this product, and with the HDMI port the system it's based on will have a long life in our household. If I could give this more than five, I would. Highest recommendation.
